Livia is a strong advocate for her family law clients and is also very compassionate and empathetic in nature. Livia graduated from Queen’s Law School and attended the University of Toronto for her undergraduate degree.

She has practiced exclusively in the area of Family Law since 2017.  Her practice focuses on the key issues of family law, including: property division, child and spousal support, custody and access, equalization.  Livia also assists clients with cohabitation and marriage agreements and greatly enjoys speaking with clients to help plan for the next phase of their lives.

In addition, Ms. Peszt is a collaboratively trained lawyer, as well as, being familiar with Children’s Aid Society work.

She advocates passionately for her clients, but does not argue for the sake of arguing.  Livia strives to settle matters out of Court, wherever possible, but she is also a forceful advocate in Court for her clients when required.

Her clients appreciate Livia’s professionalism and knowledge.  She was a contributing author of the textbook on family law titled, “Vulnerable Persons: Protection and Remedies in Canada” wherein she focused on the chapter relating to spousal violence.  She has assisted both fathers and mothers in high conflict circumstances navigate the issues of abuse and child alienation.

Livia is a Member of the York Region Law Association, the Simcoe County Law Association, York Family Collaborative Lawyers, and is in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

When she is not at the office, Livia enjoys spending time with family, in particular her young daughter.
