Kateryna’s legal education began with obtaining a Court & Tribunal Administration Diploma and an Immigration Consultant Certificate from Seneca College in Toronto.
Upon graduating, she completed her Field Placement at the Toronto Family Court. She later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Criminology from York University and obtained her LL.B. from Kent Law School in England, UK. While attending, she was a member of the Kent Law Clinic assisting individuals in family & civil disputes. Kateryna additionally holds a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution and had collaborated on legal document management projects with the two Toronto leading companies in electronic discovery and information governance.
Kateryna is a strong advocate with a preferred area of practice in matrimonial litigation and Mediation. She has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and the Divisional Court. Kateryna frequently attends at the Barrie Superior Court of Justice; however, she also regularly attends at Orillia, Brampton and Newmarket Courts as well.
Kateryna Yanovsky is fluent in Russian and has a basic knowledge in Ukrainian & Spanish.
Kateryna is a Member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Simcoe County Law Association and is in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada. In her spare time, Kateryna enjoys spending time with her daughter, travelling, and attending social events.
