Paul H. Portman obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree from theUniversity of Toronto and attended both Osgoode Hall Law School and the University of New Brunswick Law (Ludlow Hall) where he earned his Law Degree.
Paul H. Portman pursued every avenue available in law school and since to improve his advocacy and litigation skills. In that regard, he was the recipient of the New Brunswick Trial Lawyer’s Association Prize in Trial Advocacy and recently finished his Masters in Law from the University of Edinburgh. He continues to develop and demonstrate his skills in litigation with reported decisions at various levels of court and has completed several trials and divisional court appeals.
Mr. Portman taught Family Law, Civil Litigation and Employment Law at Seneca College in York Region for almost a decade, and was formerly a Member of the Board of Directors for York Region Law Association. He has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Family Education Centre in Peel and has been recognized for his research contributions and publications.
Paul brings a breadth of experience and understanding in various areas of law, but focuses on the areas of civil litigation, family, employment and estate law. He also completed the Certificate in Estate Law from Osgoode, so he could draft complex wills and manage complex estate matters.
