Geraldine has experience dealing with a variety of issues in Family Law, as well as, contract disputes, breach of contract, real estate litigation, debt collection, constructive trust claims and mortgage enforcement. She also has in-depth knowledge and experience in partitioning and selling property.
Geraldine has successfully conducted a five day trial before the Superior Court of Justice, appeared on numerous, case and settlement conferences, motions, examinations for discovery and mediations. Despite being a litigator, Geraldine always strives to resolve matters outside of the judicial process in an attempt to save her client legal costs. Nevertheless, Geraldine advocates for her clients vigourously and works to achieve the best results possible.
Ms. Acosta has conducted seminars on various topics such as Wills and Estates Law, and urgent motions in Family Law. She is also an instructor at Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology where she teaches Contracts and Torts to students enrolled in the Paralegal program.
Geraldine is also fluent in Spanish.
When Geraldine is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, and binge watching television shows with her husband. She is available for free initial half-hour consultations by appointment at our Newmarket office.
