MARK A. EPSTEIN B.A.,LL.B.
MARK A. EPSTEIN attended
York University and
graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He went
on to obtain his Bachelor of Laws from
Osgoode Hall Law School.
While at Osgoode Hall, Mr. Epstein was an active member of
the Community and Legal Aid Services Programme, a service
providing legal assistance to those who would not otherwise
afford representation. Mark was also a founding member of
the
Small Claims Court Information Clinic at the Toronto
Small Claims Court, assisting the public with Court forms
and procedure.
After graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School, Mr. Epstein
articled with a boutique commercial litigation firm in
Toronto. During his articles he attended to Master's Court
motions, numerous Small Claims Court trials and assisted
senior counsel at the Court of Appeal. Upon being called to
the Bar, Mark practised Personal Injury at a downtown
Toronto law firm.
In early 2004, Mark moved to
York Region and
expanded his practise areas to include Family Law. Mr.
Epstein's practise now focuses on all areas of Family Law,
such as Custody, Access, Separation Agreements, varying
Court Orders and Property Division. He is also trained in
Collaborative Family Law, a process dedicated to resolving
family disputes through negotiation. Mark is a current Board
Member of the York Collaborative Practice and has negotiated
numerous cases to the satisfaction of his clients. In
addition to these areas, Mr. Epstein practises Real Estate,
Corporate Law and Commercial/Civil Litigation.
In 2005, Mr. Epstein co-founded the partnership of Epstein Brown LLP and the traditions of the former partnership continue at
Epstein & Associates.
Mark is a member of the
York Region Law Association
and Newmarket Chamber of Commerce. He currently resides in York Region with his wife and two sons. He
